A decade ago, I had all my site's pictures on this page as small thumbnails. Then it got so big as to be unmanageable. But recently I found a trick using mouseovers and MySQL that would not require pre-loading all the images. Just pass your mouse over any of the colors you see (each one is the average color of an image on the site), and the image gets displayed below within a few seconds.
If you think not all images are here, you are probably right: reload the page and you'll get some more (and the next viewer too).
The colors are vaguely sorted using a rather poor method, but then colors being three-dimensional, it's hard to sort them on a page. And if you think this page may crash your browser out of sheer size, you may be right...
